The landlord hired a company to re-shingle the roofs of all the buildings. In the process of shingling the roof on my building, the workers dropped some debris on my satellite dish, rendering it inoperable. Direct TV says that it would cost $70 to repair. What responsibility does the landlord have for my compensation of the cost to have my satellite repaired? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In Ohio, you would have a cause of action against the company that reshingled the roof and against the landlord. If you sued both in small claims court, the cost of defense would exceed the $70 repair fee and they would likely offer you that plus your filing fees to go away.
