How should I go about expunging my crimainal record for misdemeaner theft? I am in Ohio and the judge told me I could have this expunged after 1 year if I stayed out of court. it has been almost 4 years I think maybe 5. I was told there was a $50 filing fee, but the people at the court house wouldn't tell me anything else. They said I need to research it myself or hire a lawyer. I found the form online but it costs $45. Is there a less expensive way to go? Also are the forms relatively easy for the typical person to fill out on their own???
