Tenant Death Question

Our tenant passed away from an overdose of illegal drugs just a few days before rent was due. Does anyone know if we are entitled to rent for any period through the end of his lease agreement (payable by his estate?)

(I know this sounds insensitive, but we can't pay our mortgage for October now, and we're desperate. Moreover, his death resulted from illegal activity on our property of which we were unaware. Moreover, he had substantial life insurance and no dependents or close relatives.)

You may be entitled to rent from the estate but you still have to make a reasonable effort to rerent the premises.
