I had recently been off work due to medical reasons and had a verbal agreement with my landlord to pay him weekly until I caught up on my rent(2 months behind). I have only been back to work for a week and was due to give him some of the rent at the end of the week. I have been a tenant of his for more than a year and never been late or had any problems at all so I was happy that he agreed to work with me. Two days later I received a nasty note from his wife on my mailbox so I called and discussed it with him and he said that the agreement was with him not his wife and to just ignore the note. Less than a week later I get a notice to leave the premises attached to my mailbox( in her handwriting) and I've been trying to reach my landlord but he hasn't returned any of my calls. Is there anyone out there who might be able to give me any info on this matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
