The a/c for my apartment runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It's set at about 68 degrees but the thermostat continues to read 78 to 80 degrees all the time. Today was the 3rd time our apartment manager has sent the maintenance man to inspect the a/c unit etc. Each time the maintenance "determines" that the a/c is working properly, yet it is still 80 degrees in the apartment and I can atest to this because it is too warm in here to have the a/c continously running and running. Our electric bills for less than a 1000 ft apt have ranged from $100-$150 consistently. How much more of this do I myself, and my family, have to take. What rights do we have as tenants? I feel that the management needs to hire a certified HVAC company to "determine" the actual problem and fix it along with compensating us for our over expense in utility bills.
