eviction and security deposits
My son has been served an eviction notice with the complaints being too much noise, arguing with a neighbor, and friends in and out too much. There has been no written form of complaint or a 30 day compliance letter sent. (I have found according to the law, excessive noise must be addresses by the landlord with a 30 day period to comply) None of these are listed in the lease agreement. On top of this, the landlord has agreed to give his deposit back if he can rent the apartment out for the month of February. If not, he will keep it. The rent has been paid until the end of January and the landlord says he will keep it. Does this all sound legal?
