I have a renter who is moving out after we gave them a notice on 5/10 that their month to month lease would not be renewed for July. They were notified they would have to be out by 6/30/06. As of today they have not paid the rent for June.
Back in April they told us they were going to move out. At that time we discussed pro-rating the rent for the month and gave them a chart of the per day rate.
My question is: now that we have set a precedent by offering the pro-rate in April are we bound to give them the pro-rate for June (even though they will most likely not be out before the 28-29 of June)?
