my daughter filed a small claims on the landlord because she didnt send a letter notifiying why she didnt return the deposit so she asked for double the deposit back then the landlord filed a counter claim for 1 monthes rent . her rent was paid till april 7th and the apartment was rerented by the 3 week in april i cant figure why she says shes lost a monthes rent help any advice would help we think she filed the counterr claim hopeing my daughter would drop the case

the lease was up on july 7 2006
but the landlord valutarly terminated the lease.
she called the second week in march but she was telling ammie my daughter before she would end her lease
