Pet

I live in an apartment with a roomate who wants to have her dog live with us. I am allergic to dogs, the furniture in the apartment belongs solely to me (besides her bedroom furniture), and the security deposit was provided, in full by me. The lease agreement reads that no pets are allowed, however the landlord has told her it is ok for the dog to "move in". I do not want the dog here, and feel as if I should have some input as to what goes on in my own dwelling place. Furthermore, I would never have signed a lease knowing that there was even a remote possibility of living with a pet. Law school midterms are coming up in two weeks, and I don't want to be sick!!! Is there anything I can do? Can the landlord allow this dog to live here without my consent?

In Ohio, if there are three parties to the lease, then all three parties need to agree if there are going to be any changes. Thus the landlord and your roommate will need your permission to put the dog in the place and waive the no pets clause.
